The next best thing to flying: wandering through the treetops 30 metres above the ground. This is the Tree Top Walkway in St. Englmar.
Nature is at your feet: on these high stilts you can experience the forest from a perspective usually restricted to birds and other flying creatures. The tree top walkway is 370 metres long.
The 2.5 metre wide pathway, made from local larchwood, can easily be tackled even by families with buggies or those in wheelchairs: slopes up or down are a maximum gradient of 4%.
No Need for Fear of HeightsNobody should be afraid of heights here. 36 pylons and a solid handrail ensure maximum safety, so that the views over the Bavarian Forest, the Danube valley and plain can be enjoyed without distress.
