Summer Tobogganing in Breitenau and Bodenmais

You can toboggan in the Bavarian Forest in winter – but you can also do it when there is no snow, on the summer toboggan runs at Breitenau and Bodenmais, on which you can do fast and bendy toboggan rides of up to 40 kilometres per hour.

A trip to a summer toboggan run is an essential part of a family holiday in ArberLand. From the top of the mountain to the valley, it is fun for both daredevils and those of a quieter disposition because the speed of the toboggan is easy to control.

Braking is only for the careful
The 615 metre long summer toboggan run at Breitenau in the Geisskopf ski area has steep bends and a height differential of 50 metres. If you don’t use the brake, you will feel the wind of ArberLand rushing through your hair.

The run is at the middle station of the Geisskopf and is easily reached by chair lift.

The toboggan run at the Silberberg in Bodenmais also offers a real experience. With its racing curves and lengthy straights, it is regarded as one of the loveliest toboggan runs in the Bavarian Forest and even in the whole of Bavaria.
