Music at the Altnußberg Castle Ruins

When there were still knights living in the Bavarian Forest, Altnußberg was one of the largest castle complexes in East Bavaria. Today numerous archeological finds in the castle museum confirm the proud history of the ruins. And there are often concerts held there.

The castle keep was completely rebuilt and is now a popular attraction for locals as well as holiday guests. From time to time, the keep and the castle ruins form a lovely backdrop to music evenings and rock concerts.

The castle ruins are accessible at any time. The castle tavern holds ‘mountain hut evenings’ every Thursday during July and August at 19.00.
